TrustManager ^TM, was created in 2000, by Legacy Management Group, LLC, a privately held Application Service Provider (ASP). TrustManager ^TM, was a cooperative effort by a number of individuals with expertise in the legal, life insurance and computer fields to offer state of the art web based  Crummey administration services to trustees of life insurance trusts utilizing a “Service Center” approach.

 

In 2006, TrustManager ^TM was completely revised and updated to allow trustees or other advisors to utilize the computer power of a web based system for the generation and tracking of gift reminders and Crummey notifications via multiple communication methods.  Notices can be sent by Certified mail, email or snail mail.  The online tracking capabilities can be used to prove that notices were sent and acknowledgements were received.

Programs and Systems

Systemetrix Design Group LLC- TrustManager ^TM, employs a secure Oracle^R  database to maintain confidential Trust data which is used by the system to prepare a complement of documents and correspondence designed to efficiently administer trusts.  The systems people at Systemetrix programmed both the original version as well as the 2006 updates.  They also maintain the system to make sure the data is preserved and any updates required because of changes in the law are implemented.

 

Phyllis A. Schiavone, is a founding partner of Systemetrix Design Group, LLC (SDG) of East Brunswick, New Jersey and oversees the maintenance of TrustManager ^TM.  Phyllis received her B.S. in Computer Science from Monmouth University in 1987.

Richard M. Slamowitz, J.D., LLM, CLU, ChFC is the technical advisor on matters relating to insurance.

Richard is the chairman of the Commissioner’s Advisory Board on Life and Health Insurance in New Jersey. He is past President of the Greater Newark Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and has served as editor of Retirement Counseling News and Views, a publication of the SFSP.

Prior to joining owR Opinion in 1995, Richard was Regional Brokerage Director in New Jersey for Prudential Select Brokerage. In 1995 he won the President’s Trophy for leading Prudential in brokerage production. Stanfield Hill, JD, CLU is the technical and tax advisor on matters relating to legal aspects of the Crummey trust notification system.

 

Stan is a graduate of Yale and Columbia Law School.  In addition to being a financial planner at US Trust Co., Stan’s career includes a 25 year stint in the advanced underwriting department of Mutual of New York as well as a number of years as head of the advanced marketing at Home Life Insurance Company.  He is a published author of a number of books and articles on estate, business, and pension planning.
